Crossing his arms with an equally cross look, he sensed the arrival of a few more guests. Hm, who was here. There was the captain of squad twelve and another loon from squad eleven. He huffed. Great, more squad eleven punks. Though another captain seemed to have made their presence know. It was Gin Ichimaru of squad 3. He never did like the man. His face and presence just seemed very, suspicious. A face that shouldn't really be trusted, but it wasn't like Toshiro had much of a choice. They were all captains and at times they all had to work together on certain issues. But right now wasn't one of those times so he could be as cautious with Gin as much as we wanted. Though this was supposed to be some sort of meeting. But, those feelings were dismissed. He knew for sure it was one of Ukitake's antics. And when the white-haired man came up and touched his shoulder, he couldn't help but groan slightly.
“Sorry about that Shiro~ It’s good to see you came!”
"Ugh. How many times do I have to tell you old men..." He said disapprovingly. "Don't call me that."
Since he was dealing with someone older than him, he couldn't really "yell" at Ukitake. He was a nice man and all but he was in a bad mood now, and he had to yell at something, which made Ukitake ultimatly fall under the "no nickname" rule, which was a rather rare occurance. He groaned and rolled his eyes. Great, he ws stuck here with old man and some hyperactive little girl. Just great. This was totally going to make his day complete. Oh yeah. And Ukitake's little announcement didn't make him feel all the more better about all this. He knew it. He knew this wasn't a real meeting. He freaking knew it. He let out a groan of disapproval before his hand met his face and dragged it down. Wow, and he actually came too. Way to go Hitsugaya, you really outdid yourself this time. He sighed. Well, it was too late now. To leave would be beyond rude. But even if he did try to leave, the old white-haired captain was just going to try by any means to keep Hitsugaya here. He did no want that. He felt stuck.
“It’s good that so many of you are here, thank you all! I’m sorry I dragged you all out here at this hour, but I felt it was necessary. I’m sure most of you are aware of the human celebration of all hallows eve, also called Halloween. Well it’s tonight~ Due to its… Well some of its base beliefs it does seem rather appropriate for us as Soul Reapers to celebrate it. So I threw this whole thing together and asked you all to come! Have fun all of you~”
His eye twitched somewhat. He still had some work to do at this hour, and this old man fooled him into coming to this... this party of all things. And Hitsugaya knew he wasn't going to be the only one to complain. Captain Kurotsuchi always sees to be busy, and this was going to harshly cut into his schedule. But what of the others? Surely they felt some negativity about this too, no doubt. He looked at Ukitake with an unamused look and sighed. He really did it this time, didn't he? Whatever. Might as well stay, since the old captain was most likely to strap him down until he decided to say. Might as well surrender now to avoid any future complications. This fog had to go though. There wasn't really any need for it, was there? Not that he could think of. Tch he didn't even know what the hell Halloween was. He had a feeling he was going to be stuck here for a while.
"....You're kidding me.?"
Enough said.

‘Well now, that depends on the type of meeting,’
The third captain tilted his head slightly to the side. So it wasn’t your average meeting, but then again even he could gather that much.
‘I find it rather appropriate.’
What an odd thought, but he listened anyways. He could hardly find the thirteenth captain in the fog with sight alone. But then again he likely blended in as well, as his name suggested his silver hair blended in with the shimmering air. Like finding a arctic fox in a blizzard.
The older captain seemed to be going around and speaking to each in turn. He followed his motions in his head, his slanted grin ever present. This was such a wonderful meeting. With every ones attention here, plans could be made elsewhere. Wonderful timing.
‘It’s good that so many of you are here, thank you all!’
Hmm, back to addressing every one.
‘I’m sorry I dragged you all out here at this hour, but I felt it was necessary I’m sure most of you are aware of the human celebration of all hallows eve, Also called Halloween. Well it’s tonight~ Due to its… Well some of its base beliefs it does seem rather appropriate for us as Soul Reapers to celebrate it. So I threw this whole thing together and asked you all to come!’
The captain almost laughed, was that it? How amusing. He folded his arms once more and chuckled softly. This was truly a strange turn of events. Of course the captain didn’t have any more left, but he could imagine better things to do. Oh well, this would be an interesting night. Izuru could handle the extra bit of work that he hadn’t bothered to finish.
‘Have fun all of you~’
Fun, indeed. The captain could weasel his way into conversations, before it became too awkward and they left. Now would be a wonderful time to get to know the others, especially the other captains. His ears were ready to pick up any conversations.
‘Remind me why I am staying here Yachiru.’
Oh dear, Kenpachi. The fox faced captain didn’t want to be around him. His heard turned slightly, in an attempt to find others when a rather loud yelp almost shattered his ears.
‘YUMICHIKA!’
He cringed slightly, that girl was amazingly loud. At least there was no doubt another from the eleventh squad was here. His attention was quickly turned to the tenth captain.
‘Ugh. How many times do I have to tell you old men... Don't call me that.’
The captain had an odd interest with the younger white haired boy. Perhaps his connection with Aizen’s lieutenant was what drew the man in, or perhaps that he too had joined the squads at such a young age much like himself. Of course that boy had jumped almost directly too captain, his climb to power was frightening. Ichimaru had been a lieutenant before captain, but even before that he jumped right into a seated position. He was a sly man, and every one made that clear. Few accepted the captain for who he was. The accepted him because he was an oddly intelligent man, and if you didn’t show him the proper respect, well we could say kebab is on the menu.
‘....You're kidding me?’
The captain grinned wider, so it seemed that no one truly wanted to be here. Every one would be talking about work or the related. He wasn’t really interested in any of it, but the more he knew the better. “So captain thirteen, a party is it?” His comment was rather open ended. “How… unique.” He let his gaze wander, the fog was starting to settle. He would not approach any one directly, instead he would let them wander his way. That would work much nicer. Save him the trouble of picking people out of the crowd. But then again, would any one even bother to come near the grinning captain? Who knows, only time would tell.

"It's good that so many of you are here, thank you all!"
Those words are what made Mayuri's face twist into a look of disgust. He, as well, was still thinking of how he could have possibly allowed himself to be tricked. To be tricked-- by such a silly man! A man like Ukitake. Ukitake, of all things! Mayuri crossed his arms angrily over his chest as he looked to the white-haired man that was now speaking to them. You better be damn grateful that you haven't caught me at another time, you fool... All the while, he was basically complaining to himself in his mind while he somewhat heard what Ukitake was truly saying. To be honest, it barely interested him, and he would have rathered to stay back in his office now anyway...
He heard something about Halloween-- whatever that could possibly be. Admittedly, Mayuri has heard of it but was never truly sure what it was. He had only heard of it due to its name and some sort of reputation it had in the realm of humans. Letting his eyes shut, his head tilted forward as if he were falling asleep. Honestly, sleep didn't sound like a bad idea right about now. That is, if he actually had time for such a pleasant thing.
Just about when he was sure he was going to doze off, he heard Ukitake finishing off his small speech.
"Have fun all of you~"
Scowling slightly, he turned his head stubbornly to the side with eyes still closed.
How could he have even the smallest pinch of fun in such an event? He wasn't made to be a talkative person. There was a reason, after all, that he was in the science department and none of these fools were in it as well.
Sighing, he let his eyes open and look around the place. All the captains were here, yes... Then there was Yachiru and that strange man known as Yumichika. Wonderfuuul... Mayuri felt his face drop as he looked back forward. What was he supposed to do here? Maybe he possibly sneak away without being noticed...
"Remind me why I am staying here Yachiru..."
Was that not an obvious answer, you buffoon? he thought icily to himself.
"It's because you were tricked... Idiot." He found himself muttering that. Now that he looked to where Kenpachi was, though, he saw that the other was rather far away from him. That made Mayuri feel much more comfortable. At least there wouldn't be an argument between the two of them because of Mayuri wanting to insult him. Even if the point of insulting, usually in Mayuri's opinion, was to purposefully anger someone and make them react. Something just told him it wouldn't be the best of idea to say a single word to him.
"YUMICHIKA!"
Mayuri twitched and wanted to cover his ears. He couldn't, though, due to such obvious reasons. That little girl... She was so loud and obnoxious to Mayuri! Always so loud, careless, and the like! Such a child!
As if he didn't notice before, Yumichika was obviously here. And Yachiru was probably all over him by now. Bah, what a boring place to be... This was a time where Mayuri actually wished his attention would actually be on another thing so at least he wouldn't have to just stand here.
Turning his head, he saw that child of a captain as well.
"...You're kidding me?"
He rolled his eyes and uncrossed his arms, letting them fall to his side now. He looked down to the short captain and said slowly, "Honestly, you little shrimp, you have far better things to complain about..." What a hypocrite. He knew that. But mostly, his reason for saying that was to see if he could get some sort of reaction. In a way, it'd be simply hilarious to see the other actually respond to him. If he simply got ignored, he'd be rather unbothered (hell he probably wouldn't even care right about now), but on the bright side-- it'd just give him another reason for leaving this moronic event known as Halloween. Or a party. Whatever the hell you'd like to know it as.
Quietly, he then turned his head back forward, seeing a few of the others at the tables. Mayuri himself wasn't quite interested with such primitive things as food. He let his arms go behind his back and hold onto each other by their wrists. If he were to get angry suddenly, it'd be best to keep his arms like this so he'd have much less of a chance of punching somebody else in the face.
Which, in all honesty, didn't sound like a bad idea with how just about everyone he could care less about was here.

Finally, Yumichika thought of the human world holiday and connected it with the fact Ukitake, the captain of the Thirteenth Division, was absolutely in love with candy and now obviously, this human world holiday. He already knew now without having to hear what the other said, that this was definitely a party. But he stopped in his tracks and listened, his eyes meeting that of the other white-haired man once he heard his first words, allowing himself to become loud enough for all of which to hear.
"It's good that so many of you are here, thank you all!"
A, for the most part, good-natured smile crossed Yumichika's lips and his eyes grew a bit softer. He realized now he didn't have to be in a hurry for anything and could take a break on work spite him doing enough of that when his captain told him to do so because "play before work" was the philosophy, or one of them, of their squad.
As he spoke, he looked around, glancing at the others who were here. The short, white-haired captain, The fox-faced captain and of course, the mad scientist who was apparently, he could already tell, impatient. He'd never really spoken to him but honestly, Yumichika didn't like the "man" too much at all.
"Have fun all of you~"
His glance returned to Ukitake and he nodded, smile having faded until he heard his captain speak, asking Yachiru to remind him of why he was here. He almost began to laugh and with that, Yumichika just began to turn to find where his captain stood when he heard the sudden squeal of a little girl he knew very well.
"YUMICHIKA!"
Yachiru.
Yumichika flinched back slightly and immediately found where they were without moving anything but his head and using his ears to do so. He noted how the little pink-haired girl was flapping one arm, her other along with her body dangling comfortably over the broad, strong shoulder of Kenpachi whom he already knew never felt her even when she stomped.
Though the shrillness of the squeal was enough to force him to flinch just a few moments before, a truthful smile crossed his lips. Yachiru he could actually get along with and she was usually all over himself or either the captain. He didn't actually title their relationship as "big brother, little sister" but it might as well be that. He even saved her from running straight off a cliff once by simply reaching out and catching her tiny body.
He lifted a thin hand and waved to her, the arm in which connected the orange piece to his neck. Then he began walking. So she was here, and thankful for that he was because he knew things always ended up awkward at times when he was in a superb mood around his captain--especially when he was all giddy, girlie and wanted to fix the bells on the man's spikes.
Finally he made it over to them and nodded towards Kenpachi.
"I'm surprised you came Captain," He smiled a bit more, finding it funny how the other had tried a piece of candy and managed to call it something that others may call a lie. Yumichika himself was on a secretive "diet" and resorted to not eating anything here if the only choice was candy. "but I can't say the same for Yachiru." He reached over and pat her on the head.
Unless of course, being a lover of candy herself, Yachiru begged him to. He always fell for those big puppy eyes some how.
Really though, as he began to think about it, Yumichika felt extremely gullible for not realizing this was a party.

"Ugh. How many times do I have to tell you old men... Don't call me that."
Well now, apparently he’d managed to irk the small captain worse than he’d done so before. He could probably count on one hand the amount of times this boy had reprimanded him in such a way, and then he would have still had to have had no numerical skill past the stage of 0, the fact he was doing so now really did make Ukitake suspect that right now the young boy was in a somewhat foul mood with him… Now that was something very easily fixed, and if not then no doubt some candy later would solve all said problems, it always did. “You’re very right captain, sorry about that.” No doubt it would happen again, it usually did. With Ukitake it was very simply wise to just accept whatever he was giving to you, or even calling you. No matter your objections he was unlikely to stop, and the only probably outcome of any such thing would likely just be you having hurt his feelings. One the grand scheme of things hurting this man’s feelings was likely a somewhat low blow, ah well, life was what it was and you imply had to stand and deal with it.
"....You're kidding me.?"
Whilst Ukitake certainly did have a sense of humour this was no joke at all. He believed very simply that you could not just spend all your life working, allowing for the stress in your life to build up to levels to great to contend with, you had to take breaks. Now taking a couple of hours off would be all well and good, this was what many captains did, but sometimes you just needed something more to allow yourself to cut back. Whilst Ukitake was infinitely aware that a vast majority of the people here did not wish to be so he simply continued on with things, at the end of the day this would benefit them, whether they knew it right now or not. “No, but just don’t judge everything so soon captain,” he offered out slowly in that usual content tone. “I understand you have things to do, but you have to take a break you know~” The fact of the matter was that if the young captain tried to leave Ukitake would find some way to keep him hear, though frankly that would probably be amusing to see. A fully grown man trying to keep a young boy at some party, it wasn’t something you really saw everyday.
“So captain thirteen, a party is it? How… unique.”
Ahh, there was Gin. “Indeed,” he responded with a slight chuckle. “Though not so much so.” This was hardly unique, it was just very likely that Ukitake was one of the few people who could do something like this and then have people actually come. Of course Shunsui could also be known for his love of parties etc, but if he even dared consider something like this there would have very likely been an incredibly heavy book going his way from his lieutenant. So no, perhaps it wasn’t so unique, and coming from Ukitake they really should have expected something like this. Hmm, well that was what you got for not knowing someone so well. “I simply felt that everyone perhaps needed a break, everything can get to much if you just keep pushing yourself to work.” He briefly wondered how many people actually supposed he’d done this all for his own amusement, probably a fair few. In truth whilst he certainly did enjoy things like this it had been for the benefit of others, others which were likely none to grateful. As it so happened most would likely become irritated with him, as the younger captain had, and whilst Ukitake wasn’t to pleased about this thought he was all to content to accept it as long as people didn’t try and darn well leave.
"Honestly, you little shrimp, you have far better things to complain about..."
Had he been the type for cursing and the such his reaction to that would have all to likely been ‘HOSHIT’, but as it so happened he wasn’t that kind of person, so instead he simply put himself between the pair whilst facing the rather… Outlandish… captain of squad 12. “Captain, please, there really is no need for that.” With his tone along with his hands held up in a somewhat pacifying way he really did look like a teacher trying to stop two students falling into an all out brawl. He did doubt the strange man in front of him wished to fight, however he apparently had every desire to watch people squirm under his words. This was something Ukitake was none to happy with, though of course saying such in that manner was far from something he’d do. “Now, if you could both get along I’m sure this would be far more pleasant for everyone.” Both of them simply for the fact he didn’t want the young captain to explode at that comment. Yes his control in matters about his height had often seemed to be rather good, but if you were in a flat out pissed mood already no thanks to an idiot bringing you out to a party you didn’t want to attend… Well perhaps your temper would no longer be as sturdy. But who could say?

"Because Ken-chan, it's a party, and there's candy. NO ONE misses a party with Candy."
Kenpachi ignored her answer as he did not believe it, and soon, if things didn't get exciting in some way, he was going to leave.
"I'm surprised you came Captain,"
Kenpachi looked over to Yumichika who had just came over to him and Yachiru, Yumichika was Kenpachi's 5th seat in the 11th Division. "Same could be said for you. Where is Ikkaku?"Kenpachi asked, he had nothing better to do than talk. Kenpachi then heard Mayuri Kurotsuchi, captain of the 12th Division call Captain Hitsugaya a "shrimp". Oh this could lead somewhere, maybe they will fight, and then I can join in on the fun...
As of now, all Kenpachi was doing was awaiting a reply, waiting for the chance for a fight to come along, and drinking sake. Not the most exciting party he had ever been to, although he did not go to many parties anyway.
Maybe I shoulda just taken my nap...

The pink-haired lieutennant watched Yumichika cross over to them, and grinned at him.
"I'm surprised you came Captain, but I can't say the same for Yachiru."
Yachiru giggled at the pat on her head. It was so nice to have Yumichika here. He was one of the few people she felt she could genuinely relate to. He was strong, and devilishly beautiful, and he knew so many wonderful things that just made her happy to be around him, and hear him talk about. She smiled up at him, listening as Kenpachi spoke up.
"Same could be said for you. Where is Ikkaku?"
The question got her interested enough to voice input on the matter too. "Yeah, where is Baldy?" She grinned up at Yumichika, commenting much quieter to him "You look pretty tonight Yumi, did you do something special to your hair?" That was what she liked most about Yumichika, he was so good at looking good, and still being tough. It was sometime most people couldn't do at all.

“You’re very right captain, sorry about that.”
With a simple huff he left the topic at that. Ukitake would do it again. He knew it. He always did. Had this been a better time or something, he wouldn't have had to tell the old man anything. He really didn't care when the older captain called him by some other name, only because he seemed to do that with everyone. Treat them the way they sometimes didn't want to be treated, but oh well. That old man wasn't going to change his ways anytime soon, was he? Most certainly not. Ukitake didn't seem like the type that would, so the question was irrelevant. He rolled his eyes slightly at Ukitake's comment about all the festivity. Oh, really? Not that he doubted it would, well, judging by who was here, it probably would, but, well, he felt he had more important things to do. Despite his age he had set up a mind frame that was very work oriented. Maybe it was good, maybe it wasn't, but whatever it was, he wanted to finish his work so he wouldn't have as much the next day. He figured he would.
“No, but just don’t judge everything so soon captain. I understand you have things to do, but you have to take a break you know~”
"You're so relaxed." He stated with a tone similar to that of complaining. "And besides that, you invited the worst people."
The young captain could see that people like Kenpachi, his crew, and Kurotsuchi would really make all this go to hell. Maybe not Gin, but certainly everyone else. This was such a bother, and he knew it. But when he went to express it, the twelfth's captain decided to remark. He was an ass anyways, so it wasn't like talking back would really help either. There was never a way he could win, was there? It didn't seem like it really. He folded his arms and grunted slightly as a the freak show captain of the twelfth division added in his two cents. Ugh, more little comments and nicknames? Seriously, this as getting on his nerves now. Toshiro let is slide once (albeit slightly), but two times, no. Then again Captain Kurotsuchi wasn't one to be really polite either. He simply ignored the older captain with a pissed off face.
"Honestly, you little shrimp, you have far better things to complain about..."
Sure, he was pretty damn irritated but wasting his breathe on the freak show captain of the twelfth division wasn't worth it. He rolled his eyes and let the focus on something more pleasing to look at. Kurotsuchi wasn't the most appealing face. The young captain knew that it wasn't his job to look handsome but his face made everyone cringe. Shrugging everything off Ukitake's words came in to hearing. Uhm, sure. Everything was fine really. Kurotsuchi wasn't a nice guy and Hitsugaya didn't bother to snap back, so, was there a problem? Not one that Toshiro saw or care really. But whatever. Ukitake was more of the guy to stop things before they happened. He might have seemed delayed in this instance, but in all reality he was ahead of the game. Man, did old men have a way of intercepting what was to come.
“Captain, please, there really is no need for that. Now, if you could both get along I’m sure this would be far more pleasant for everyone.”
"What problem?" He said. In actually Kurotsuchi's word hit, but he just released his irritation just now. It wasn't delayed, he was simply finding another outlet.
He did not purposely mean to sound like a brat to the taller captain. It just slipped out. Had he been older, well, he could have controlled his anger a bit better than he presently. He had the mindset of an adult, but he still had the tendencies and body a child had, and nothing could change that but time. He wasn't going to speed up time either. He looked at Ukitake with an unamused expression. He wasn't angry, just bothered. It was more of a "this is boring" kind of irritation. And in all reality, right now, he was quite literally doing nothing but standing, breathing, and talking. Not really doing much else. Finishing his work would be productive. This wasn't. He scratched his head slightly as he looked around at the place. Oh jeeze, nothing that would amused him. This was going to be quite a while...

Well well, it had hardly been ten minutes and the Tenth and Twelfth were at each others throats. It was almost frightening, Mayuri Kurotsuchi and Toshiro Hitsugaya. Both bore traits that could easily over-power the other. And not to mention they both had tempers of volcanoes. But it seemed that the Thirteenth was keeping it all under control. That was good, a fight here between captains could end poorly for every party. Including the odd celebration itself.
'Indeed, Though not so much so.'
He titled his head to the side slightly, it wasn't exactly every day that a captain threw a party for a human holiday. But then again the Thirteenth was not exactly your average captain.
'I simply felt that everyone perhaps needed a break, everything can get to much if you just keep pushing yourself to work.'
His grin grew slightly, teeth showing through his thin lips. "Of course. With all the commotion it's a wonder we ain't passing out." He chuckled softly. It wasn't like the captains did everything in times like these anyways, or at least he knew in his case alot of the work was done by his lieutenant.
'Now, if you could both get along I’m sure this would be far more pleasant for everyone.'
Speak for yourself, this was quite interesting. He let himself drift alittle closer, the fog now cleared enough that he could clearly make out the forms of those in the surrounding area. So many faces he knew well, and a few he might have seen, but didn't bother to take note of. It seemed this little shindig was becoming quite the event.
'What problem?'
Ah yes, the Tenths famous icy personality. How perfectly he fit his zanpaktou, the 'Mighty' Hyorinmaru. As a fellow captain, he had never truly seen the Tenths zanpaktou in action, but life was long, his time would come. "Now now, this wont do." While his tone was serious, there was always the underlying hint of amusement. It was simply how he kept his mind games going. "This is a celebration, best keep your temper under control Hitsugaya." He didn't direct a comment at the opposing party, as telling him to calm down would have quite negative effects. The way he spoke was more as if speaking to a friend then an equal. Truth was, he saw no one as his equal. There were those above him, and of them very few existed, and those below him. Those below him became his playthings, constantly in the game, never passing 'GO'. And then those few who caught his eye, the knights if you will. Oh how he enjoyed the game, and how much more fun it would be if he pulled the strings.

"Captain, please, there really is no need for that."
Mayuri slowly turned his head to the one that dared to speak to him. It was Jushiro. Heh. I should've known by that voice... Now that he had a more focused look upon the other captain, Mayuri let one of his eyes squint to a tight slit. Then he turned away stubbornly. His arms were still crossed over his chest as he continued to listen to Jushiro's words. What an idiot. I can't get along with anyone-- it's common knowledge! His mind was keeping him rather distracted, to say the least, from yelling back at the captain. Of all things to do, Mayuri knew it wasn't quite the best idea to argue back with a man like Jushiro, especially with how many others could possibly respect him.
Mayuri just wasn't a respectful man, is all.
"Now if you could both get along, I'm sure this would be far more pleasant for everyone."
"It's quite hard for a man like me to get along with anyone."
His eyes shut in annoyance.
Mayuri was deciding if it was fine for him to leave yet. His word back at the labratory was far more interesting than taking a small "break"-- as others would like to call it. He frowned disappointingly to himself when he heard no such reaction from the shrimp.
"What problem?"
Aah, there it is...
The frown seemed to lifted on Mayuri's face to form a more amused smirk. He opened his eyes and looked down at Toshiro. "Hmmm..." was all he said. If Ukitake wasn't here, he knew he could keep this going. But now that the captain had heard him and saw what threats he held in his words, he wasn't going to simply let them off so easily. Especially with how he picked a verbal fight with the captain that Jushiro just spontaneously gave candy to. How moronic...
He just had to keep his temper under control.
Turning his head, Mayuri glanced busily around-- seeing nothing that he could possibly tinker with. How boring. He then looked back down at the shrimp then sighed stubbornly. He almost felt as if someone was a little bit closer than usual. Trying to ignore it, Mayuri lifted his head slowly and lifted one arm away from his cross. His arm lifted to his hat with his fingers lay upon the rim, as if holding it steady. I must get a different look... he sighed in his head. In all honesty, Mayuri could care less about what he was wearing right about now. But if it meant distracting him from this moronic party-- fashion was a desperate last attempt.
Then he heard it.
"Now now, this won't do."
Oooh... That voice. It only belonged to Gin-- whom he liked to sometimes call the Fox.
"This is a celebration, best keep your temper under control, Hitsugaya."
Chuckling to himself, Mayuri let his fingers simply wrap around one of his hat's edges now and tighten around it. Despite how amusing it was to see the Fox actually speak to someone as if they were a simple child, Mayuri wouldn't allow his "conversation" be interrupted simply like that. His eyes slowly moved towards Ichimaru.
"I don't see why so many people, especially you all of people, are interrupting." His head tilted far to the side, bouncing a little bit once it hit against his purple neck-wrap. "But you, Ichimaru, I expected you to keep silent... How strange." His words weren't as threatening as they could have been if they weren't around so many others. His words, instead, kept a calm tone. It was obvious, though, that he was struggling slightly in keeping his voice low and unnoticed.
He still had that trademark twinge of disrespect, though, to call the captain by his name instead of his captain title.
This was when he decided upon keeping the rest of his words to himself.
He wanted to see Toshiro's reaction to Gin's words, but he also wanted to see at least a small struggle between them. Maybe it was a sick interest within him-- wanting to see others fight it out with just him fighting.
Maybe everyone had this strange interest with seeing just two people fight, even if it were to be small.
It was no matter, though.
