情報This handbook shall be the thing you should follow for the rest of your time within the 3rd division. Here you will find information regarding rules, ranks, members, what is expected and what is not permitted. You don't have to memorize everything here, but, you should have basic info about it in your mind somewhere
~to start off with
[li] As a member of squad three it is your duty to represent us, even the smaller things spread quickly. For example don't get drunk and then go causing trouble if you don't want your entier squad to be remembered as a bunch of rowdy drunkards. Not only does no one want to deal with that, it's just plain emberassing for the rest of us.
- Squad three prides themselves in being a strong and smooth functioning squad, and we wish to keep it that way.
[/li][li] Abcenses. Just because your captain leaves with out warning doesn't mean you can. You must always alert either the captain or lieutenant if you are leaving on official duties, squad related or otherwise. We need to know where all our members are at all times should something arise where you are needed.
[/li][li] Respect. This one is obvious, no matter their rank respect your fellow squad members. And no matter how tempting it is don't pick on Izuru, he is you're lieutenant and can get you in trouble should it be needed. We all have feelings, and no one likes a jerk.
[/li][li] Complaints. If you have a problem with a fellow squad member, or perhaps some one from another squad, tell the captain and it will be dealt with. If you for some reason don't want to talk to the lieutenant (he doesn't bite) or the captain (he might) then get some one else to tell them, or submit an anonymous message and it will be dealt with as soon as possible. We want to keep everything running smoothly and relations are a big part of this.
- This being said, try and get along with every one. You don't have to be best buds, but at least get to know your squad. The more you know the easier it is to work together. This of course means you can't avoid the captain. You may be scared of him but he is still your leader, and it is best if you know the person who's giving you orders.
- Also, sorry you can't complain about the captain. We all know he's a pest at times, just learn to deal with it. If you lay low he might leave you alone.
[/li][li] If you are given an order, it would be best to follow it. As the captain isn't always present orders can come from the lieutenant as well. If for some reason he is not present then it could come from any of the seated officers. If they are all gone we have a serious problem and you should tell another squad that we are dropping off the map.
[/li][li] Since the captain tends to wander quite a bit the lieutenant can also be treated as captain should the need arise. Both deserve equal respect, and just because an order doesn't come from the captain doesn't mean you don't have to follow it. Should you decide to ignore it, you will be treated as a deserter and quite possibly suffer because of it. (In short, just follow orders)[/li][/ul]
~how to climb the ladder
[li] To join this division, please send your original character's profile to my main account (See below). From there, your submission will either be accepted or denied. Everyone starts off as an unseated officer. From there, you work your way up to a seated position, starting from the 20th and ending at the 3rd. The third seat is the highest you can get without becoming either lieutenant or captain.
[/li][li] Please, do not beg. It will get you no where fast. If you want a rank you have to earn it like every one else. If you become a pest about it you will remain unranked, and if it becomes a problem then you might be removed from the squad. So if you really want to help out your squad, be a good soul reaper, preform your duties and help out where needed.
- Refrain from killing people to get ranks, we need all of our members and a death would be terribly inconvenient.
~to kill or not to kill
[li] This is a no-consent squad. Though that doesn't mean you can kill any body just because you can. We aren't murderers. (at least we hope not)
[/li][li] If you want to kill some one there better be a good reason, as mentioned before members are valued and deaths are not pleasant to deal with. Don't kill them because they looked at you funny, that is not a good reason. You may however challenge them to a duel if they insult your honour, that is a good reason. Though if at all possible still avoid killing them. Though a fight for honour quite often ends in death, so by all means spill his guts. (Just don't expect the captain to defend you when you have their captain on your back)
[/li][li] While in another squad you must follow their consent rules, so you can't waltz into the squad 4 barracks and start fights. And they must do the same for us, though don't go attacking every visitor we get, it will get really lonely really fast if squad 3 becomes the next squad 11. Once again, be smart about it. If they did nothing wrong leave them alone.
[/li][li] For members of other squads, please note if you do something out of line the captain will not hesitate to let you know (be his methods violent or otherwise). So it's would be a good idea to put your best foot forward. Don't worry, the captain wouldn't kill some one from another squad with out a good reason, but that doesn't mean he wont rough you up a bit.[/li][/ul]
~a job to be done
[li]While are no "special" duties the 3rd divsion must take care of, there are the basics that all Soul Reapers must complete as such. At a single time, members shall be sent to the World of the Living to perform these duties, which are the following :
[/li][li]Excosizing Hollows. This a major one. Hollows are lost souls that died with regrets and are now roaming around harming the innocent living and harming the innocent dead. In order to slay a hollow, you must break its mask. That in turn shall either send the hollow to Hell or to the Soul Society. There is a difference between "killing" it and purifing it.
- Do whatever you must to cleanse it. It may actually come to a point where you must actually cut off a limb or two in order to be able to reach its mask and break it. Just try not to actually kill it. That is not what we are aiming for. We don't want to off-throw the blanace to much.
[/li][li]Performing Konso. Also an important duty. Konso is when you send a whole (normal roaming soul) to the Soul Society to lead a better life. In order to do this, you must tap the soul's head with the bottom of the hilt of your zanpakuto. This will create a stamp on their head, and they are sent there.
[/li][/ul]
~syching up
[li] Training is the best way to keep up to snuff. Since we do not have our own training grounds you will have to find your own place to train, or you can ask the captain to reserve squad 13's training grounds for you. If no space is found you are allowed to train on the grounds of the barracks, though refrain from destroying the property. This is where you live, and you can be sure if you blast a hole through your wall that the captain wont lift a finger to fix it. Though if you are injured (this is training so it isn't likely) then you will be rushed to squad 4 for medical assistance, unless you are a stubborn mule and try and fix it yourself. (We also wont clean up any blood, it's time consuming and not fun)
[/li][li] If you wish to train with some one in specific (preferably from this squad) then just ask them. You have an equal chance of them accepting or denying. If you wish to train with the captain (even he needs to keep his skills sharp) then submit a request and he will get around to it when not busy. Should he accept you can consider yourself very lucky, or very unlucky.
- The captain has an odd way of training, he will push you to your physical and mental limits until you crack. So if you don't want to go insane we suggest you prepare before training with him. Or if you want to be messed in the head just jump right in and ruin your life.
~you're in for it now
[li] There are several punishments, they can be changed and modified depending on what you have done in the first place to deserve the punishment. They are generally not severe, but if you avoid them they can become quite painful.
[/li][li] The stripping of ranks. If you have a rank and have done something you shouldn't have you may have your rank taken away and return to being a simple seated officer. This can only happen thrice before the punishment worsens.
[/li][li] Ejection from the squad. This is more extreme, but if you really mess up then you might be removed from the squad all together. The chances of this happening are slim, but don't push your luck. This is obviously a one time deal, once you're out chances are you wont see squad 3 again. If you do get back in, be sure that you don't make a repeat or else the punishment will become severe.
[/li][li] Torture. This is the worst you could get, and you would've had to mess up big time for this. But don't think you can avoid this, the captain will have a grand time hunting you down should you run. While you wont die you can be sure you wont soon forget, and hopefully will realize your mistake. Should this happen more than once it could heighten to the lose of limbs, but this generally doesn't happen as it's not easy to preform your duties with one arm,or one leg.
[/li][li] Do not avoid judgement, if you have messed up just admit it and you wont get it too bad. And if you do try and hide it away, be sure the captain will find out. He has his ways of knowing if you've been bad. (He's like some deranged Santa, minus the presents)[/li][/ul]
