'If we do not obey our own laws, the who will obey them?'This handbook shall be the thing you should follow for the rest of your time within the 6th division. Here you shall find information regarding rules, ranks, members, what is expected and what is not permitted. You are not required to memorize this stuff (that's why it's here), though some of these should be somewhere in your mind, because some of these are important to know as a member.
~to start off with
[li]First and foremost, as much as this isn't a law, please call your superiors by their rank, then last name. God knows how the Lieutenant deals when addressed with just his last name, or first, or whatever, the captain does NOT find it appealing. As someone who is used to being addressed formally, the captain expects that everyone addressed him as Captain Kuchiki, and nothing else. If possible, do the same with the lieutenant, although, we don't really care about him~ (butweloveyoucrys<3)
[/li][li]Follow the rules presented before you word by word. Break even one, and you shall be penalized, the severity depending on how important the rule actually is. This is due to the captain's moral views on how the laws of the land and his division should be followed. Therefore, those who break the law must be put forth before justice by any way, shape, or form necessary. You will save yourself A LOT of trouble if you can just do what you are told by your superiors. Superiors meaning everyone ranking above you, especially the 3d seat and up.
[/li][li]As members of the 6th squad, you represent the division as a whole, the captain and lieutenant included. It is expected that you hold your head high and have some self respect. You must show that you are an intelligent individual worthy of respect. This therefore affects you, for it may just help you in the long run. This is stressed when you venture off into other place, such as another division's headquarters. You must respect those rules with the utmost importance. Failure to do so can lead to severe consequences, if not on both sides, then certainly on this one. Following the consent rules are major, so please, do yourself a favor and look, as well as act, presentable.
[/li][li]As stated above, you must treat yourself with a great amount of self-esteem an respect. But to prevent problems, please respect other members of the squad as well. This is so you do not end up having problems in the long run. But not only this. It may also help you with inter-division relations. Now that, will help you. Being in good terms with your squad members means that you, as well a the division is strong and impenetrable to things that may split it apart. If you have problems with another squad member, report it to the lieutenant. The captain doesn't want to hear it. If anything, just deal with it and try not to cause even more harm to yourself.
- Whatever the problem is, don't be a Renji and mouth off the other. That is terribly rude, can harm you in the long run, and it makes you seem low. Don't do that. Seriously. Senseless arguements... are well... senseless.
[/li][li]Complete any work or task that is given to you. It is expected and required tha you finish all the work given on their due dates exactly. Tardiness is frowned upon. In the long run, it does not look good. While choosing to do work is your on personal choice, it is required that you do it, so failure to complete it will get ou penalized. That is not a good thing, so do not slack off. If work piles up, then you must be able to complete it. All. Be aware that sometimes you must make personal sacrifices, such as time, to complete certain tasks or objectives. Do whatever you must to get your work done. It would make you look rather low if you did not.[/li][/ul]
~how to climb the ladder
[li]To join this division, please send your original character's profile to THIS account via. From there, your submission will either be accepted or denied. EVERYONE starts off as an unseated officer. From there, you work your way up to a seated position, starting from the 20th and ending at the 3d. The third seat is the highest you can get without becoming either lieutenant or captain (both of those filled duh). Your submission must also include a very legit reason as to why you want to join the squad and how you can be valuabe asset to the division. We are not looking for a Mary-Sue reason, such as because you are very smart and or/very strng, because those are petty reasons. We expect to see better.
[/li][li]How do you get a seat, may you ask? Well, it is really freaking simple. Work hard. If you manage to be an active member and prove you are worthy of a seat, you shall gain promotion. While it is possible to skips seat ranks while climbing up that ladder, it is rare, unless you show that you are really that good. Do not plead or ask for a rank, but chances are your chances will be tarnished and burned. No one wants to hear whining. Really.
[/li][li]If anything, it is wise to try and appeal to your superiors. This shall help you when you are seeking for a higher rank and such. While you will not make friends with the captain (cougimpossiblecough), and maybe not the lieutenant, they certainly do have the capacity to respect other people. If word gets out that you are a very capable, respectable individual, then the closer you are to getting a rank. This may not be true every time, but it's a way to get closer to your goal.
- Obeying orders is another thing. If you follow the rules and laws by the book, then it would appear as if you are a very wise individual. The captain commends those who do such. This will help with creating yet a stronger link with you and your squad. The key is to really survive in this squad is to be a role model for those around you. Look good, and others will follow in your lead. Sounding intelligent through speech is another big plus.
~to kill or not to kill
[li]There is none. The 6th squad is a no-consent squad, meaning that without permission from the other player, that person's character is at risk of being killed off. Hence "no consent". HOWEVER, the reason for doing such MUST be a very legitimate reason, meaning it has to be a pretty DAMN good reason. If there is no such reason and an action such as that occurs, then there is a good chance your character will have his/her rank stripped and/or removed from the division. As much as the captain and lieutenant can care less, there are duties to be done and preventing you all from killing each other for no good reason is one of them. You must get permission from the captain (PM this account) in order to go ahead and kill someone off. It will either be denied or accepted. This not only goes for this squad as a whole, but this headquarters as well, which brings us to the next point.
[/li][li]Despite this, there are INDEED exceptions. When a member of this squad enters another division headquarters, said member has to face the consent rules of that squad. Same with people from other divisions that come into this headquarters. They too, fall under the no-consent rule. And as such, they too, must PM this account in order to gain permission to kill someone under the jurisdiction of the 6th squad. [/li][/ul]
~a job to be done
[li]While are no "special" duties the 6th divsion must take care of, there are the basics that all Soul Reapers must complete as such. At a single time, members shall be sent to the World of the Living to perform these duties, which are the following :
[/li][li]Excosizing Hollows. This a major one. Hollows are lost souls that died with regrets and are now roaming around harming the innocent living and harming the innocent dead. In order to slay a hollow, ou must break its mask. That in turn shall either send the hollow to Hell or to the Soul Society. There is a difference between "killing" it and purifing it.
- Do whatever you must to cleanse it. It may actually come to a point where you must actually cut off a limb or two in order to be able to reach its mask and break it. Just try not to actually kill it. That is not what we are aiming for.
[/li][li]Performing Konso. Also an important duty. Konso is when you send a whole (normal roaming soul) to the Soul Society to lead a better life. In order to do this, you must tap the soul's head with the bottom of the hilt of your zanpakuto. This will create a stamp on their head, and they are sent there or Hell, depending on their past life.
