希望'Welcome to squad thirteen, the best squad of them all!'
Yozora wo miage hitori houkiboshi ho mita no Isshyun de hajikete wa kiete shimatta kedo Anata no koto omou to mune ga itaku naru no Ima sugu aitai yo dakedo sora wa tobenai kara
This will be your day to day handbook of life within the thirteenth squad. You will find information in regards to ranks, rules, members, all the good stuff. Whilst it is not necessary for you to know these terms by heart unless you have the rank of captain or lieutenant (the latter not actually being possible), you will be required to have at least some basic knowledge.

基礎知識
Moshi atashi ga houkiboshi ni nareta naraba Sora kakenuke tonda iku Donna ashi-ta ga kite mo kono omoi wa tsuyoi Dakara houkiboshi zutto kowarenai yo ░BASICS░ ◦standard information
ψ Whilst this squad is often treated like a rather large and extended family (by the captain at least) it is still a squad, and as such has a strict hierarchy. When referring to your superiors it is preferable you use their rank followed by their last name as a sign of respect, or if you are on good terms simply their last name (unless you are close friends, or of course off duty). As such it would be seen as highly inappropriate to go around calling Captain Ukitake by his first name, Jushiro. It is though common practice on at least his part to refer to his subordinates by their first name, and those who outrank you also have this right. This is not a way to put you down, rather a way to treat you as more of a friend than subordinate. You do after all have one of the kindest captains out there, he's just showing his love for you~
ψ In terms of a lieutenant, this squad does not have one. The last vice-captain was Kaien Shiba who was killed by a hollow. This rank is NOT open and it is very VERY unlikely we will be getting another one any time soon, if at all. Instead we have our two lovable (if annoying) third seats splitting the rank of acting lieutenant between them, this is how it will stay for the foreseeable future.
ψ Ranks/seats. If you are playing an original character then PLEASE send a PM to the account of Gearr (there will be a link further down) with information in regards to the character, whilst I am staff it is possible I may not have been the one to accept your profile, and thus may not know you are supposed to be in my squad. However though, I really would much rather you sent a PM requesting to join this squad, it'll both let me get to know you better, and also your character, and honestly I find this an imperative factor if this squad is to be run as it should.
When gaining a rank/seat you must NOT beg for it under any circumstances, whilst you are unlikely to be punished for it due to Ukitake being rather lenient it will not be appreciated, and is likely to cancel you out for promotion due to both his views on how his squad should act, and me being a grumpy butt. To gain a seat or promotion you must work for it, show your talents whilst at the same time trying to help where possible. This will be noticed and appreciated, don't think I will be ignoring the threads made and joined by people in this squad, that is not the case even if they are not made in these HQs.
[/ul] ψ Consent. This squad is one of the CONSENT squads, meaning unless you hold the rank of captain or lieutenant you may not kill another on these grounds without DIRECT permission to do so. To get such permission you must PM the account of Gearr (there's gonna be a link sometime BD) and ask, when doing so you must present a fully detailed reason for why you would like to kill another character, at this point I will either deny or accept your request. ANYONE who does not gain permission and kills another will face heavy penalties. These may include stripping you of your rank, or in some cases placing you under arrest and perhaps removing you from the squad. Also, members from other squads are expected to follow this rule when in the thirteenth squad's grounds.... So no, Kenpachi cannot kill our troublesome duo of the third seats. There ARE exceptions to this, and at some points the squad may become no consent. One such exception to this is when the soul society is placed under certain alerts, usually when there is a threat of war or a criminal to be apprehended. In these times there is NO consent needed, though it will be monitored carefully. Also note that when this happens you still need a damn good reason to kill someone, and excuse like 'I killed him because he flicked a booger in my soup D:!' won't cut it. ψ When members of this squad are within the grounds of other squads they are to comply with their terms of consent, though please remember that YOU are the ambassadors for the thirteenth squad, and mistakes you make fall upon the whole squad, and in some cases can have some very serious repercussions for the captain, so unless you want him arrested for something silly please act in a sensible manner, he really wouldn't do well in prison.[/ul] ψ Bullying within the squad is under no circumstances tolerated, nor is to be expected. Ukitake prides himself on the fact this squad is social and always there for its members, the key to survival in this squad is teamwork, and this is expected. It is absolutely fine if you are not the most social of people, but it is expected you both tolerate and act in a peaceable manner around your comrades. Indeed it is also expected for you to extend this kindness to other squads, and not just your own. ψ If you have any issues with a member within the squad then report it to Ukitake, do not let it build up until it becomes full on hate. Once you have spoken to the captain about it he will then try and come up with a suitable solution that leaves you both happy. If it turns out that it is not in fact possible for any solution to be made then Ukitake will bring both members together to discus the best solution. This may range from moving one of the members to a different squad if the one to be moved agrees, or moving their duties so they're unlikely to come into conflict. On this note, no Kiyone and Sentaro may not have the other moved to a different squad, they're just gonna have to get on and deal with each other. ψ Please be aware that due to Ukitake's views on fighting it is possible that you will be pulled back at any given moment, or stopped from interfering in anothers fight, even if he knows it will kill them. Do not presume that this is an act of neglect on his part, it is very much the opposite. In such times as he stops you it is wise not to argue on the matter, he's very unlikely to change his mind. If you go against what he says then it is very possible that you will end up with some form of punishment, the severity will depend on the consequences your actions cause. “There are two types of fights. Whenever we are in battle, we must be one of the two. The fight for life or…the fight for pride!” It is during a fight for pride that he will disallow you from interfering, just take it as it comes and try and understand there is a kindness behind him stopping you.[/ul][/blockquote]

訓練
Ama ga futte iyada to boyaiteita toki ni Anata ga ii itta koto ima demo oboeteru Ama no ato no yozora ha kirei ni hoshi ga deru Sore wo kangaeru to ame mo suki ni nareru yone to ░TRAINING░ ◦terms of sparring
ψ We do have our own training grounds, and it is free use for any within the squad. You may indeed bring individuals from other squads to train with you if you wish, in fact this we encourage as it helps to build up inter-squad relations, and this is no bad thing. When using it we ask you not to utterly destroy the area as others will need to use it, this means that if your shikai has he ability to blow up everything within ten meters then you should use your powers with discretion. Ukitake won't be a happy camper if he has to bring out a shovel and try and fill in a crater.
ψ When training PLEASE don't beat each other up to badly, obviously you may get fully into it and cause one or two scratches, and that we can deal with... But please don't break anyone's limbs or cause terrible injuries, that isn't the point of training. Just calm yourself down and have a bit of fun with it~
ψ If you would like a private training lesson from the captain then that's great! A friendly spar is a great way to bond, and if he can help his squad then despite his dislike for violence Ukitake is happy to comply. If indeed you would like this then PM Gearr (Wait for eeeet) and you'll be told yes or no. The main reason for a no will be if there is a lot going on and Ukitake is needed in other threads, or if there is a plot going on. In these cases a training session will be set for a later date.
ψ Whilst this is yet unknown at later dates joint training sessions with other squads will hopefully be set into place. Whilst it is true the main focus is the prosperity of the thirteenth squad you must remember who your captain is, Ukitake holds huge amounts of values in the greater good of things, and if training with another squad will both bolster squad morale and inter-squad relations then in his eyes it is totally worth it. If another squad wishes to do this then drop Gearr (I swear it's coming) a note and the answer will almost certainly be a yes.

職務
Moshi atashi ga houkiboshi ni nareta naraba Afureru hikari furasu yo itsumo Kanashii toki yozora miru anata ga Egao ni naru youni motto kagayakitai ░REGULAR DUTIES░   ◦day to day
ψ One task that every single squad member here has is to ensure that things are always running smoothly, and if possible for you to try and fix it. You are NOT expected to actually fix every problem you find, and indeed what we don’t want is for you to try and help with something, only for it to prove too much for you, thus getting you hurt or killed. Please use discretion, and also common-sense, when dealing with anything.
For the issues you find that you know you can’t deal with, such as a rather rowdy group from the eleventh division causing problems here and there, you would be best to report this to either the captain, or if he’s unable to deal with the matter for whatever reason, one of the two acting lieutenants that we have. From there the issue will be dealt with… Suitably~
[/ul] ψ Whilst training has been covered it was not made clear that it is actually your responsibility to train. Whilst this may be one of the more peaceful squads you must never forget that we ARE still an acting squad (andadmngoodone), thus we may be called to action at any moment. If you are not ready then very simply you will be told to stay behind, whilst some may have no issues in sending the weakest out first we VALUE the life of every member, and as such if you have been failing to train you will not be allowed to fight. So go train dammit, else you’ll end up deader than a dead thing. ░SQUAD SPECIFICS░ ◦specialised ψ The thirteenth squad DOES actually have two squad specific duties set to it. These duties will very often determine what we are doing at a given time, who of us is available, and of course what work everyone else will need to do in the mean-time. ψ One of our duties is communication. The thirteenth squad is very often used as a communication point between soul reapers in the world of the living, and the soul society. This means that we get a HELL of a lot of information passing through us at given times, especially when there are problems within the world of the living that need to be dealt with. HOWEVER we do not have to sit and study all this information, a vast majority of it can very simply just be passed onto the appropriate people so that they can deal with it. On occasions though we will have to deal with it, and in such times you will have to be prepared to deal with it. ψ The thirteenth division also deals with the primary protection of the human world against hollows, meaning that we will VERY often have members in the human world to deal with them. Whilst doing so we ask that you be on your toes for anything, and not push forward without thinking. As a squad we have already lost a few of our finest members to hollows, the vice-captain included, we do NOT want more deaths. This means that you must under no circumstances take unnecessary risks when dealing with hollows, and also that you do not try and show off. At this point it is also worth mentioning that cleansing a hollow is not the same as killing it, once you break the mask the hollows soul will be purified of the crimes it committed as a monster, and then will either go to the soul society, or hell. Whilst in the human world, as with any soul reaper from any squad, if you find a wandering whole you are to perform a konso on it. The main reason of doing this is is to prevent these souls becoming hollows, which will then in turn hurt innocent people, and also to help them pass on to the soul society where they can live without the threat of hollows and the sort.[/ul][/blockquote]

刑罰
Anata ha itsumo hitori nanika to tatakatteru Soba ni iru koto shika atashi ni ha dekinai kedo ░PUNISHMENTS░ ◦consequences for your actions
ψ Whilst it is true this division is most certainly somewhat more lenient we still have expectations, and thus repercussions for actions when rules are broken. The punishment can range from a simple telling off, to death in the most extreme of cases. PLEASE do not be put of by all this, as long as you don't do something stupid your character will be absolutely fine.
ψ The most common form of punishment is that of a verbal warning, usually delivered by the captain or acting lieutenants. Very often such a reason for this punishment would be something minor, like perhaps acting in a rude manner, or making an inappropriate. These verbal berating are very unlikely to be all that severe, unless of course whatever you did justifies it. If feel you have been wrongly punished, or accused (be it by someone in this squad, or another)
ψ Another somewhat minor punishment would be the adding of menial duties to your shift, such as cleaning the floors, or even fixing up the training grounds if someone decided not to listen to the rule stating NOT to mess it up to badly. This punishment is more annoying than anything, but hey, it keeps the captain strapping sponges to his feet and skating down the halls to clean them, no one wants to see that~
ψ One of the more severe punishments commonly used is having the trouble causer confined to barracks. This would mean they cannot work, cannot go for a wonderful little walk through the countryside to admire the pretty little flowers, it also means they cannot even go to the mess hall to get food (this will be brought to them) On some occasions though this may be used as a method to protect individuals, if they are under some form of threat then it is possible that they will be confined to barracks.
ψ Arrest is VERY rarely used, though of course if your crime is severe enough then there is no choice to do such. Crimes that will get you this including assaulting other officers, or engaging in unnecessary fights with the intent to harm, and not for training purposes.
ψ Under some circumstances you may be demoted and have your rank totally stripped. THIS has never been done before, and nor have any punishments beyond this point. Other's that are incredibly rarely used are being kicked out of the squad, placed in a detention until under the control of the 2nd division, and death. It is only in incredibly rare cases that these will be exacted, and even then there will be a hesitation in exacting them.
