ooc;; anyone is free to join after yachiru posts~ c: "Enter and Die"
Anyone with a brain could clearly see that Mayuri wasn't in the mood to catch the stupid disease. Undoubtedly, though, Mayuri figured some brainless moron would come wandering and start touching everything. The thought of grimy little hands touching his equipment made him shiver and cringe all at the same time. Continuing to watch and let his fingers carefully yet impossibly quickly press the keys upon the keyboard, Mayuri turned his head over his shoulder to glance at the door. It wasn't opened. At least that took a mere one pound weight off of his shoulder. Other things, though, Mayuri was sure only he could take care of once he would tear his hands away from his keyboard. This was officially deemed impossible by your's truly.
Swiftly, he turned his head back to his work and let his eyes stare up at the wide screen in moderate interest. Honestly, he could be doing better things with his time. But research had to come first-- always had to come first. If anything got in the way of research, Mayuri was sure he would never forgive the force whom had caused him to get sidetracked. He's done it in the past, so nothing was going to stop him from dissecting whatever he pleases now. He's never admitted to directly killing a few, though. It was of no one's business. Besides, they deserved with getting his brain sidetracked. Despite the clear fact that he himself had an attention span that was easily absorbed into things it was interested in.
"Ignorant bumbling fools..." he began mumbling to himself angrily.
The thought of anyone daring to come in while he was working... It enraged him to a dangerous boiling point. If his make-up weren't on, he would most likely be a bit red in the face-- within good reason, of course. Mayuri was a man that one did not want to be around when he was angry. If he laid eyes upon an unlucky person, chances were they'd be the next one in his collection of dissected bodies. If that wasn't going to happen, he would definitely mark them on the "To be Dissected" list. It wasn't a real list, of course... Just a list that he made up in his mind to provide a bit of a dark humor to his day. At times, though, even thinking about that list didn't quell his attitude or need for bloodshed.
When things like that happened, he would stomp off to a private room of some sort and just experiment on himself to provide stress-relief. It was odd, yes. If it worked for him, though, one shouldn't dare question his motives. Aah... That was another thing he hated. Details were unimportant, though. He was rambling within his mind and was getting frustrated by his own thoughts. It was a rather rare happening, as well.
Staring up at the screen with more-than-moderate interest now, Mayuri leaned further in as his fingers increased in speed. On the screen, he found information that could probably be useful in the future. It definitely would provide some small trances of amusement later on. Of what the information was? He wouldn't say. Of whom was the information was? He wouldn't give out. It was none of the world's business.
"Keh..." he let out a laughing manner, cackling would probably be the most accurate at such a situation.
When he felt he had enough information, his fingers began slowing their tapping but still managed to keep going at an average pace. Now he was just looking over the information to make sure everything was in order and nothing out of place.

Yachiru wasn't the kind of person who listened to signs. Maybe she really couldn't read, but then again, maybe she didn't care to read them. They were fun to look at, but always told her not to do things. She hated not being able to do things, especially when she wanted so badly to do them. So, she didn't read the signs, or at least, ignored what they said, and did it anyways.
In this case, it was the DO NOT ENTER sign on the door to the lab. One written bright and bold enough that they probably thought it would keep her out. She giggled under her breath thinking that maybe these smart guys weren't as smart as they thought they were. Or maybe she had outsmarted them. She decided the latter was better, and quietly, stealthily, she snuck in.
No one seemed to be around, and she almost decided to turn back and leave because it was boring, but a sound changed her mind. Keyboard tapping followed by "Keh..." So there was someone here afterall! Wonderful, now she wouldn't be so bored anymore. With a sneaky grin on her face she crept towards the sound, and after a great deal of making herself even harder to detect, she began to creep up on Mayuri himself.
She had to keep from giggling as she tiptoed up to him, untill finally she was only a few feet away, standing behind him. She crouched before launching herself towards Mayuri's back, aiming to simply land grabbing onto his shoulder like she would with Kenpachi. It wasn't because she cared about him, or particularly wanted to ride around on HIS shoulder, no. She just wanted to see how he would react to a small pink-haired soul reaper flying out of nowhere and landing on him, and it just happend to be where she landed. There was no planning involved.
Once she was comfortably latched onto him she would giggle slightly before asking a sickeningly childish question. "Hiya Mayuuu, Whatcha dooooing?" She was grinning, and looking ever so innocent and guilty all at the same time. He wouldn't know what hit him. She had outsmarted the smart man. The way she spoke to him was childish, and somehow held respect, and lacked it all at the same time.

ooc;; Thought I'd join in on the fun. |3
Yumichika knew well that it was just like the small, pink-haired Soul Reaper to go sneaking off to another part of the Soul Society--but he never would have began to guess she'd manage to and even dare to go to the barracks of the twelve division. He himself didn't contact that division much, neither did Ikkaku or the rest of his squad. That included Kenpachi.
So when time came for something important to be done, such a teeny-tiny girl being found, Yumichika was once again the one being called upon, and always at the worst of times, or so the beautiful Shinigami believed. Just as when Urahara had offered him up to go with Twelve division Rin and Fourth division Hanatarō to the human world, Yumichika had asked if he really had to go. Of course, he really did have to go.
He hadn't the will to argue or even ask this time however, because it wasn't some lowlife, undignified, ugly being asking him to go, it was his Captain. Captain Kenpachi Zaraki; Nobody ever told him no and meant it. The reason Kenpachi chose him of all people? Because play came before work, and Yumichika was always trying to straighten up a bookshelf, do some paperwork or even fix his own hair with a stubborn pouty lip when it wouldn't place right.
Tap, Tap, Tap.
His footsteps echoed down the polished hallway of the twelve division, a hands fingers brushing through his raven tendrils of hair and an irritated sigh escaping his lips. He placed his opposite hand on a doorway, pushed it open without knocking and popped his head inside. Unfortunately, no one was in there.
"Yachiru...?" He asked. As if he weren't uncomfortable enough, he was returned with the reply of silence and darkness of the room being unused. So he bopped his head back out of the room and continued walking without shutting the door behind him. He hadn't a care in the world for anything but getting Yachiru, taking her back to Kenpachi and going off to take care of his own needs.
Impatiently yet again, the Shinigami sighed heavily and almost considered turning around to declare she wasn't even here but that would be a mistake if she was tackling the one he prayed she wasn't even in the room of. Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Suddenly, Yumichika had the urge to find her very, very quickly. He began a quick jog now, listening carefully for her echoing giggles or the sound of breaking glass. Or maybe just the scream of an angry captain.

Surprise, surprise... Everything seems to be order.
It wasn't really a surprise for Mayuri. Everything was always in precise and secure order. It's what kept him sleeping peacefully at night-- if one could actually imagine him one to sleep at night. He was probably an insomniac but would never admit directly to having such a disorder if proven true. No one needed to know about his life, but he needed to know everything about everyone. It was basic instinct for him to want-- to need-- to crave the information. It was direly needed, to him, to know everyone's everything to rightfully claim the position of "Genius". No one else in the Soul Society clearly deserved it. Anyone with a brain could see that!
Halting his typing almost immediately, he sensed the pressure of someone. A particular little girl... "If you are about to sneak up on me little girl, I suggest in stopping your fool-- Hnnk!!" As he was speaking, he felt tiny hands latch on his shoulders. He managed to silently thank Soul Society for their outfits-- especially his. If his weren't so bulky, he was sure the girl could easily tear through the material and into his shoulders. He twitched once feeling a more secure grip upon his shoulder. The very feeling made him want to grab the girl by her head and just squeeze until he could hear a sastifying crack. The only thing stopping him, though, was that brute of a captain. Zaraki disgusted him in more ways than one, and he definitely did not want to argue with a buffoon for more than an hour of his time.
Maybe it was finally time to try and be calm.
Then she giggled.
Oooh... The very nerve!
He felt his shoulders begin to tense up as she asked him such a stupid question:
"Hiya Mayuuu,"
Disgusting.
"Whatcha dooooing?"
That's what made him snap. Clenching his hands into fists, he fought hard not to begin smashing them into the keyboard to delete all the data. Instead he just shut his eyes and tried to fight back the urge to scream at her-- to pick her up by her head and just chuck her out the goddamn room-- anything to get her out of here! But as soon as he sensed that stupid grin on her face, looking so goddamn innocent yet so knowing of her actions, Mayuri had to do something.
Unaware of any other company, he immediately stood up and reached to grasp Yachiru by her small head. Oooh... If he did grab it-- temptation would be hard to fight to not squeeze. "You foolish dolt of a girl!" he began barking at her in that almost always angry voice of his. "How dare you interrupt me while I am working!? The very nerve!!" He could feel his eye beginning to twitch and could feel his face turning hot. Was he honestly becoming so heated over a small little child? Most likely, yes.
He knew the girl would have something smart to say. Something so incredibly foolish that he would have no other choice but to listen. That voice-- that girl's extremely high pitched voice sent unwanted chills down his spine. These were chills he could live better without. "Imbecile!" If he had managed to grab her, he would pull her right in front his now snarling face. "I can easily chop up your body and toss the itty-bitty sized pieces into a Hollow-filled territory!" he shrieked in a shrill voice with eyes now narrowing.
"Do-- you-- under-- stand-- ME?" he then said in a low yet vicious tone.
As he yelled, his voice echoed effortlessly off the walls in the building.

The pinkhaired lieutenant watched with utter amusement as Mayuri clenched his fists, and seemed ready to just burst. She always wondered what it looked like when a person exploded into a million-bazillion pieces. In her mind now, this was about what they looked like before they popped like a ballon and got guts everywhere. It was like an explosive pinata, only there was only icky stuff on the inside, instead of candy, the disappointing kind of explosive pinata for sure.
Yachiru skillfully ducked out of the way of Mayuri's grabbing hand, scooting down his back some with the ease of a monkey. From there she slimply lept down to stand somewhat behind him, and somewhat to the side of him. The games were only just starting, why let him end it so soon?
"You foolish dolt of a girl! How dare you interrupt me while I am working!? The very nerve!!"
From where she now stood a mere inch or so away from Mayuri on the floor, she could see just how angry he was. Even if his face was all painted up and creepy, kinda like a skull, but not the sugar kind. She was sure Mayuri didn't taste anything like sugar, and there was no sense in tasting him now. She was positive he was going to burn her tongue if she tried to taste him now. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, she sincerely hoped he tasted like sugar.
"Imbecile! I can easily chop up your body and toss the itty-bitty sized pieces into a Hollow-filled territory!"
She cringed, but mostly from him yelling. She didn't think he'd ever dare chop her into itty-bitty pieces, she was already itty-bitty. He couldn't cut her any smaller, at least that was what she figured. She didn't even mind if he threw her into a place with lots of Hollows, she'd have some fun playing with them. At least Hollows knew how to have fun.
"Do-- you-- under-- stand-- ME?"
She frowned at him and then simply answered. "No." Yachiru gave Mayuri her biggest puppy eyes as she added "You use too many big words when you talk Mayurin, and you're veeerry loud." She then smiled at him all innocent-like again. It was all a game to her, all of this. Mayuri was just the person she happened to want to play with.

Then he heard it.
"You foolish dolt of a girl!"
It was almost a vicious bark if not just that, Yumichika decided as he jogged more quickly down the hallway, trying to hold back using flash-steps as he did not want to seem so excited to get her. Really, he just didn't want to seem desperate. That was not good for an image.
"How dare you interrupt me while I'm working!? The very nerve!!"
Yumichika winced at the tone Mayuri seemed to be using, that voice he always contained within himself, always seeming to make the beautiful Shinigami flinch back. It may seem a bit odd, but anyone could admit that the Captain did have an odd tone all of the time. Like a chicken, Yumichika agreed, smiling.
Then suddenly,
"Imbecile!"
Yumichika was almost sure Mayuri should have known that the little girl was sneaking up on him. Perhaps he did and hadn't screamed it in anger, and so Yumichika had failed to hear it. He let out a soft breath, "How long is this hallway?" He sighed, once more impatient now.
"I can easily chop up your body and toss the itty-bitty sized pieces into a Hollow-filled territory!"
Mayuri was shrieking now. Yumichika was beginning to wonder why even Yachiru wasn't scared; Why she wasn't screaming for "Ken-chan" now to save her after she'd gotten herself into this mess.
"Do-- you-- under-- stand-- ME?"
Now nothing but a mere low growl but still very threatening. It was echoing, bouncing off the walls. Every word that the Captain screeched or squealed out in that high-pitched tone of his came right back to Yumichika. And he knew he was getting close now, because the low growl seemed more next to his ear then just vibrations off the polished walls.
Finally he slid to a stop, grasping onto the doorway and pushing himself inside. There his eyes widened. Mayuri hadn't even gotten a hold of her? Well, he supposed it made sense. She could climb up walls like a monkey and jump out of your grasp like a mouse she was so small. It didn't really surprise him much now that he thought logically about it.
Instead he narrowed his eyes, "Lieutenant!" He shouted. He still had to respect her, even if she probably only cared for the attention, "Do you understand what you're doing? You even have Captain worried!"
Not really, but it was a good excuse--and it didn't hurt to tell a little white lie to a child that needed to learn her place, right? And even if it was, Yumichika still would have done it due to his want to just get out. Though he was sure it wouldn't be so simple. Captain Kurotsuchi may just want to rip both their heads off plus Zaraki's the next time he saw him. Even though he wouldn't succeed, at least not with the Captain's, it was still enough to make Yumichika feel as if he needed to get her to listen and bolt out the door as quickly as possible.
He would make sure his beautiful hair wasn't ruined. He would.

When he had reached out to grab the girl's tiny head, he had expected luck to cooperate with him. Just this once. It'd be the luckiest thing that has happened to him today.
So when the idiotic girl actually dodged his grab, he was left standing with one arm bent behind him and with a hand with twitching fingers. His eye soon twitched. "Just you wait, child... I will make your life a living he-- yeeelll!!" His voice soon increased in volume and in its shrillness when he felt the girl move down his back like some sort of chimp. Both of his arms reached back to grasp at her in an attempt to grab at her. His eyes were wide with disbelief while his face was twisted into an annoyed sneer. "You idiot!! What ARE you doing!?" he shouted right before the girl had lept off of him.
Mayuri turned his head with still-wide eyes towards Yachiru. She was just standing there-- like some sort of brain dead vegetable! His eyes moved quickly to see where exactly she was. Somewhat behind him yet a bit to the side of him. He did not like having children this close to him what-so-ever.
However... When she had cringed-- that's right, he saw that wonderful display of inferiority-- Mayuri found himself grinning while he was screaming those phrases at her.
Soon he turned around with arms planted at his sides and hands tightened into painfully tight fists. It was a surprise he wasn't causing the skin to break and bleed all over him. Not that he'd care-- it'd just be wasting an unneeded amount of thread and stitches. He sighed to himself as he stared down at her. His face was a bright red underneath the make-up. Hell, it was probably bright enough to give the white part of his face a very, very, very light pink tint. All that yelling had laid a small number on his throat, but he knew he could live. It was just that easy.
"No."
...
No?
When he had looked down at her again, he almost sworn he had flinched back in disgust towards Yachiru's large puppy eyes. They were anything but cute! "...No?" That was when he suddenly blew up on the girl. "Why you...insolent...pitiful...EE-diotic...waste of INSECT!" he shrieked at her. Now his face was blaring.
"You use too many big words when you talk Mayurin, and you're veeerry loud."
Too many big words? ...Mayurin? ...LOUD?
She smiled at him. Actually smiled up at him as if she hadn't done a damn thing. Oh, of course. The children never do anything! That's why they're called children, right? Absolutely wrong! Whoever believes children were innocent beings, Mayuri spited them and hoped they would die a very slow and painful death. Preferably, done by him as well. "Don't you dare smile at me, you scu--"
"Lieutenant!"
Oh god. Really? Right now?
"Do you understand what you're doing?"
No.
"You even have Captain worried!"
Lies and slander.
Turning his head to Yumichika, he glared at the man with evil eyes. "What are you doing here?" he questioned angrily and through bared teeth before pointing at the two of them with quivering fingers and shouting, "Out! Out!! OUT! All of you before I keel you all with one push of a button!!" All the while, he hadn't forgotten about the information that was hidden in plain sight-- idle. He was hoping, with very clear desperation, that the girl or the man-- may he add, very feminine man-- wouldn't dare lay their grimy hands upon the information.
Then again... If one of them did, it'd give him more of a reason to kill them then just the plain old reason: I swear to god they started it.

Yachiru had drowned most of Mayuri's yelling out by picturing his face exploding, because in all truth, it looked like it was going to. She held in a giggle, and instead sputtered a bit, chewing on her lower lip to keep in the sound. "Don't you dare smile at me, you scu--" "Lieutenant! Do you understand what you're doing? You even have Captain worried!"
That was when she giggled. The look on Mayuri's face at seeing Yumichika just set her over the top. It was downright hilarious to see Mayuri looking like a bug who's eyes were about to burst into flame or shoot lazers or something, while demaning "What are you doing here? Out! Out!! OUT! All of you before I keel you all with one push of a button!!" Her fit of laughter lasted for a few minutes before she finally calmed herself, and scuttled a little more towards Yumichika. She turned her back to Mayuri, and looked up at Yumichika innocently.
"Hi Yun-Yun! You can tell Kenny he doesn't need to worry about me, I'm just playing with Mayurin."
She really had no concept of what playing really was if she thought this was playing. She may have been playing, but Mayuri's threats were serious. It was then that the brightly colored screen behind Mayuri caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. She let out a soft "Ooooh." before she quickly turned and darted towards it, aiming to slip past Mayuri and hop to grab onto the edge of the table supporting the odd machine and she would push herself up slightly from there to have a look. "Hey Mayurin, what's this?"

Yumichika heard with his shouted words, the reply he gained from Yachiru was a simple giggle. Something she always seemed to do. She probably knew better then to think Zaraki was even a bit nervous over her being gone. He knew she wouldn't go far enough to get herself killed, although Yumichika was sure that if he'd asked him to go off and find her it did seem to matter to him where it was she'd gone.
Finally though, Yumichika's wisteria irises met with Mayuri's wide eyes and almost hilarious expression. One Yumichika would have laughed dearly at if he could get away with it, but instead bit his tongue just before he was screamed at.
"What are you doing here?"
Obvious, wasn't it? He thought about saying that. He thought about laughing still a little bit as well, but decided against that just as he did the smart remark. Mainly because he soon heard an angry shriek.
"Out! Out!! OUT! All of you before I keel you all with one push of a button!!"
He shivered at the screech. Such an odd tone of voice, and even so, it was very loud. It hurt his ears, and Yumichika hated that. It was so... so ugly. Spite his reasoning with himself, Yumichika knew he would not be able to tell this to Mayuri, his true feelings of him, and get away with it so easily. In fact, he'd probably let the Head Captain know if he wasn't careful. That would turn up very bad.
So he stepped forward, nodding quietly without looking directly at the twelve captain and reached to grasp Yachiru in his arms. Instead of grasping her though, he grasped air just as she hopped from Mayuri and said.
"Hi Yun-Yun! You can tell Kenny he doesn't need to worry about me, I'm just playing with Mayurin."
Yun-Yun? He stood up properly. Mayurin? He knew that most likely, most definitely, pissed off Mayuri. He probably never wanted to hear a nickname for himself except for one that made him feel superior. Which a nickname from the small, pink-haired girl never really did make anyone feel superior. The fact still remained that Kenpachi just didn't care about nicknames or anything else she did, as long as she didn't get herself killed.
Then Yumichika spotted that of a glint in Yachiru's eyes, a glint he definitely did not want to see in the lab of Mayuri Kurotsuchi. It was a glint, a certain detailed look, that allowed anyone to know that she was about to do something rash or really, just anything that would make the blue-haired captain scream with rage.
"Ooooh~"
Oh no. He frowned as he watched her hop from Mayuri's side to the end of the room, and then on top of the desk in which held all the buttons to mess up whatever was on the screen. Nothing flickered, but as he looked up he blinked. Was he doing research on a certain someone?
"... Yachiru, you need to get down now and come with me. We have to go. Now." Yumichika wasn't sure how many times he would have to say that to get the girl to come down and follow him back to the eleventh division barracks--but he had a feeling it would be a lot, most likely unlimited.
"Hey Mayurin, what's this?"
...Great.

This was just too much.
Honestly!
Mayuri thought-- no, KNEW. Mayuri knew these two would lead to his downfall. These were the two that would him to pull all of his hair out and just start stabbing himself until he actually bled human blood. He just knew it. Staring intensely at Yumichika before swiftly switching his eyesight's attention down to Yachiru. Disgusting little creature...!
"Hi Yun-Yun! You can tell Kenny he doesn't need to worry about me, I'm just playing with Mayurin."
Mayurin... He hated that name more than anything else in this world-- and that was a lot. Not everything, contrary to popular belief. The only true thing he actually somewhat admired was himself, but he still viewed himself inferior to the likes of science. He was only another experiment in a long time line that was titled "Science". Simple as that. When Yumichika stood up properly, it made Mayuri's eye twitch once more. The fool-- the nerve-- the idiot!! He wanted to, so badly, scream that at the foolish man. He was even ready to go as low as calling him a woman, if it caused him to run out of the door in a huff. Anything to get these two nuisances OUT.
"Ooooh~"
...What was she doing?
Mayuri's head immediately snapped over his shoulders with wide eyes. "What are you doing!?" he angrily called out before fully turning around. She climbed all over his precious technology-- all over the desk-- all over EVERYTHING. When she had ran by, he should've grabbed her but didn't. Why? Because wouldn't you be shocked if two idiots were invading your personal bubble? Wouldn't it definitely take some time to get used to the invaders? To Mayuri, it was more than simply hard. It was irritatingly difficult. More difficult than it should of been.
"... Yachiru, you need to get down now and come with me. We have to go."
"Like that is going to make her listen you bumbling fool!" he shouted over his shoulder to Yumichika.
"Now."
The fool did not just know how to be assertive.
When he saw Yachiru peer up from the desk and onto the buttons, Mayuri felt sudden panic fill up his entire body. Scrambling towards her with wide eyes, he shrieked at her, "If you touch a single button-- I will strangle the air out of that tiny body of your's!!" He wouldn't care about the consequences. This girl-- if she dare delete his precious data-- deserved every cut, every incision, and every stab into her body. Mayuri would make sure it was worth the time. New experiments always made it into his schedule. He could care less about changing the times...as long as he was having fun along the way.
Running, Mayuri quickly got behind the chair and glared down at Yachiru from behind it. It was surprising, really, how he managed to get over it due to his mockable height. Letting his arms dangle from up above, he opened up his hands and attempted to grab Yachiru by the shoulders to yank her off of the desk. "Get your gross little hands away from my machines!" he shouted before looking quickly over his shoulder towards Yumichika. Squinting his eyes, he bared his bright gold teeth at him and growled, "Do be aware-- that you will be blamed as much as she!" He then turned his attention back to her and murmured, "Perhaps...even more..."
He was never fair.
