Kassie is still growing, so she’s short as a result. She won’t get much taller, either. She is lightly built, with an almost fragile look to her. She is, however, very quick on her feet. She’s built more for speed than strength, likely from decades of running away from dangerous people in Zaraki. Her hair is long and black, pulled back in a ponytail that ends at the bottom of her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a deep green. She wasn’t always successful at running away. As a result she has several scars marring her pale skin. These are mostly on her arms, although her back suffered some blows too. She does her best to keep them hidden. Her outfit is the usual Soul Reaper uniform, although she switched out the white parts in favor of pale green. She’s generally seen barefoot.

Please note: She's flatchested as a pancake. Rukia pales in comparison.

Kasumi isn't nearly as sweet as her appearance would have you think. Consider her as a chihuahua minus the skittishness. She's got a fierce personality and acts bigger than she is. Her temper is probably her biggest downfall, as she loses it quite easily. Were it not for this she might have been an okay person. She swears to make a sailor blush.

Fighting is something that Kasumi loves. If she ad been bigger she would probably have been in the eleventh squad. This is a fact she's sore about, and often sneaks off to hang with the 11th squad guys instead of her own 13th squad. She sees Kenpachi as her captain more than Ukitake due to the latter's poor health.

Although she is usually pitbull-like in her mentality, she does have her soft moments. For one, she's a happy drunk. She also likes kids, and that goes double for Lieutenant Yachiru.

Kido is the one thing Kasumi really sucks at. She can't do it at all. In addition she isn't very good at hand-to hand because she's so small. However, her Flashstep and Swordsmanship are both very good.

■ Shikai : When released, Ryurai takes the form of a scythe. With each swing Kasumi makes with it, a bolt of lightning created by reishi is released. Think of it as a watered-down Byakurai. However, if she spins it on its vertical axis (meaning she’s holding it vertically) its power can increase. This causes more powerful bolts of lightning to be released for as long as the scythe is glowing. This however tired Kasumi out as it saps her spiritual energy.

░H I S T O R Y░
“My past is none of your business!”

Kasumi doesn't remember much of her past from when she was alive. All she remembers is that she died when she was ten. The cause of her death is a complete mystery.

To her misfortune, when she was sent to the Soul Society she appeared in the worst possible place: Zaraki District. From day one her very existence was threatened. She had to fight for every meager scrap of food, every flimsy shelter, everything she needed. It caused a change in her. She was no longer the sweet child that had died before her time. She was a harsh-tempered, scrappy adolescent.

When she heard of the 13 Court Guard Squads, she immediately began to look for a way in. It was then that she discovered the Soul Reaper Academy. She was accepted because of having exceptional spiritual pressure for a soul, although it was only average for Soul Reapers. She ended up graduating, having excelled in swordsmanship and barely squeaking by in Kido. She was placed in the 13th Squad, although to this day she wishes she'd been put in 11th.
